Opening the Kiln At Turkey Knob there are six kilns currently in service. Robin and Bet are shown here with their 55 cubic foot car kiln. This kiln is fired by propane and reaches a temperature of around 2300 degrees farenheit. They use it for a variety of techniques, including their trademark copper red.
