Pottery Banjos and Ceramic Instruments

In his pottery studio in Weaverville, near Asheville, NC, Rob Mangum has a wood shop. Rob has a history in both ceramics and woodworking. In the late '70s and early '80s, Rob's father, Rob Sr., had an instrument building workshop adjacent to Bet's pottery studio. Rob Jr. grew up with access to both the wood shop and the pottery shop.

These instruments are an amalgamation of those experiences.
