Mangum Pottery of Turkey Knob

Mangum Pottery of Turkey knob is situated on seventy acres of rolling pasture and forested hills in the beautiful mountains of Alleghany County. The most notable landmark is a short hike up Turkey Knob itself, with it's panoramic 360 degree view.

Starting in 1974 Robin and Bet Mangum developed a national following producing one of a kind work as well as decorative and functional pottery. Since Bet's passing in 2009 Robin has been expanding the direction of the studio and continuing a lifetime of work.

The studio is a popular destination for avid collectors wanting to visit a working studio in the beautiful North Carolina mountains. They are open for visitors year round. Their hours vary, so please call: (336) 372-5291.

Robin has joined forces with his good friends and apprentices, Robin and Daniel Cater to form Mangum - Cater On Main, a studio and Gallery on Main St. in downtown Sparta, NC.
